Talinta Teacher Pathways LLC (“Talinta,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of teachers, prospective participants, school and district representatives, website visitors, and others who interact with us. This Privacy Notice explains the personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, how we protect it, and the choices and rights that may be available to you.

This Notice applies when you visit talintateacherpathways.com, contact Talinta, submit information for preliminary screening, participate in our recruitment, matching, placement, Sponsor-coordination, or participant-support services, represent a school or district working with us, or otherwise provide personal information to Talinta.

Talinta is an Arizona limited liability company. For personal information under Talinta’s control, Talinta is responsible for the processing described in this Notice. A designated J-1 Sponsor, host school or district, government agency, credential evaluator, insurer, or other organization may separately control information it collects for its own purposes and may provide its own privacy notice.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with Talinta and where you are in the process. We aim to collect only information reasonably necessary for the purpose involved.

Contact and identification information, such as name, email address, telephone number, country or location, and other information you provide when you contact us.
Professional and educational information, such as your CV or resume, degrees, transcripts, teaching licenses or credentials, subject areas, grade levels, employment history, teaching experience, professional references, and language or communication information relevant to preliminary screening.
Application and screening information, including answers you provide in forms, interview or assessment information, placement preferences, availability, and records of Talinta’s communications with you.
J-1 program and government-processing information where reasonably necessary, such as passport or visa information, Form DS-2019-related documentation, Sponsor-requested documents, CFO/EVP or DepEd-related documentation for Philippine participants, and information needed for state licensure or other required processing.
Placement and employment-related information, such as prospective or accepted host schools, job-offer information, start dates, compensation information supplied by the school, licensure status, and administrative facts needed to coordinate the placement.
Contract and payment records, such as your selected Talinta service tier, payment milestones, amounts due or paid, refunds, disputes, and transaction records. If a third-party payment processor is used, that provider may collect payment-card or bank information directly under its own terms and privacy practices.
Participant-support and welfare information that you choose to provide, or that is reasonably necessary to respond to a support, transfer, safety, health, accommodation, or program-continuation issue. This may include sensitive information. Talinta seeks to limit collection to what is reasonably necessary for the issue being handled.
School and district information, including the names and contact details of administrators or staff members, hiring needs, position information, interview and placement communications, and information needed to coordinate candidate presentation.
Website and technical information that may be generated when you use our site, such as IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, dates and times of access, referring pages, security logs, and cookie or similar technology information where those technologies are used.
Other information you voluntarily provide to us.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information only for legitimate, specified purposes connected to our services and operations, including to:

Respond to questions, contact requests, and inquiries.
Conduct preliminary screening and assess whether a prospective participant appears suitable to proceed in the J-1 Teacher Exchange process. Talinta does not make the designated Sponsor’s final program-eligibility or acceptance decision.
Match qualified participants with potential U.S. host schools and coordinate interviews and communications.
Coordinate with the designated Sponsor regarding participant applications, host-school review, required documentation, program administration, and participant support.
Provide credential-evaluation and state-licensure guidance and, where separately requested, assist with optional administrative services.
Provide pre-departure preparation, arrival support, first-year participant support, transfer assistance, and other services described in the applicable Talinta agreement.
Administer Talinta agreements, fees, refunds, payment milestones, disputes, and lawful accounting or recordkeeping obligations.
Protect participants, Talinta, Sponsors, host schools, and others; investigate suspected fraud or misuse; maintain information security; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, Sponsor, court, government, tax, accounting, or reporting requirements.
Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services.
Send service-related communications. Where required by law, promotional or direct-marketing communications will be sent only with the appropriate consent or other lawful basis, and you may opt out of marketing messages.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

The legal basis for processing depends on the information, the purpose, and the law that applies. Where applicable, Talinta may process personal information because you have consented; because processing is reasonably necessary to respond to your request, take requested steps toward a service relationship, or perform an agreement with you; because Talinta must comply with a legal or regulatory obligation; or because Talinta or another party has a legitimate interest that is not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

Sensitive personal information is processed only when reasonably necessary and when an applicable legal basis permits it, including explicit consent where required, compliance with law, protection of health or safety, establishment or defense of legal claims, or another basis recognized by applicable law. Providing information voluntarily does not mean Talinta will use it for purposes unrelated to those described in this Notice.

4. When We Share Personal Information

Talinta may disclose personal information when reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Recipients may include:

The designated J-1 Sponsor, which independently evaluates participants, approves host schools, administers the exchange program, and issues Form DS-2019.
Prospective or actual U.S. host schools and school districts for candidate consideration, interviews, placement, onboarding, support, or transfer-related purposes.
Credential evaluators, state licensing authorities or vendors, background or fingerprinting providers, insurers, and other third parties involved in participant-requested or program-required processing, where applicable.
Service providers that help Talinta operate, such as website hosting, cloud storage, email, communications, document-management, electronic-signature, payment-processing, accounting, security, and information-technology providers.
Professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants, auditors, or insurers where reasonably necessary.
Government agencies, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other authorities when disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law or is reasonably necessary to protect legal rights or safety.
A successor or potential successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
Other persons or organizations when you direct or authorize us to share the information.

5. International and Cross-Border Transfers

Talinta is based in the United States and supports an international exchange program. Personal information may therefore be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from the United States and other countries involved in the participant’s application or placement, including the participant’s home country.

For example, information may move between Talinta, a designated U.S. Sponsor, U.S. host schools, service providers, and government or educational authorities. Data-protection laws may differ between countries. Talinta uses reasonable administrative, technical, organizational, and contractual safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the processing involved and remains responsible for personal information under its custody or control to the extent required by applicable law.

6. How Long We Keep Personal Information

Talinta keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate legal, contractual, Sponsor, accounting, tax, compliance, security, or dispute-resolution needs.

The exact retention period varies by record type and relationship. In deciding how long to retain information, we consider whether you are only an inquiry, an active applicant, a current or former participant, or a school or district contact; whether the information remains necessary to provide or document services; Sponsor or government record requirements; applicable limitation periods; accounting and tax obligations; and whether a dispute, investigation, safety matter, or legal claim is pending or reasonably anticipated.

When information is no longer reasonably required, Talinta will delete, securely dispose of, or de-identify it as appropriate, subject to applicable law and technical limitations.

7. Information Security

Talinta uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, or destruction. Access is limited to persons who reasonably need the information for legitimate business, program, support, or compliance purposes.

If a security incident affecting personal information occurs, Talinta will assess the incident and provide any notification required by applicable law to affected individuals and to the relevant supervisory or regulatory authority.

No website, email system, cloud platform, or transmission method is completely secure. Please do not send passports, medical records, background-check materials, financial documents, or other highly sensitive records through the general website contact form unless Talinta specifically instructs you to use an approved method.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights regarding your personal information. These may include the right to be informed about processing; request access to information Talinta holds about you; request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; request erasure or blocking where legally available; request data portability where applicable; and file a complaint with a competent privacy authority. Some laws may also provide a right to seek damages for unlawful processing.

Privacy rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions, identity verification, record-retention duties, Sponsor or government requirements, or the need to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

To exercise a privacy right or ask a question about your information, email info@talintateacherpathways.com. Please describe your request with enough detail for us to understand it. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity before acting on a request.

If you are in the Philippines and believe your rights under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 have been violated, you may also contact or file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines through its official channels.

9. Marketing and Service Communications

Talinta may send communications that are necessary to answer your inquiry, administer an application or agreement, coordinate a placement, provide participant support, or communicate important program or service information. These service communications are separate from promotional marketing.

If Talinta sends optional marketing communications, you may unsubscribe using the method provided in the message or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not prevent Talinta from sending non-promotional communications that are reasonably necessary for an active inquiry, application, placement, agreement, support matter, or legal obligation.

10. Cookies and Website Technologies

Our website and our hosting and security providers use cookies, server logs, and similar technologies that are necessary to operate, secure, and maintain the site. As of the “Last updated” date above, Talinta does not use advertising technologies, and no analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking scripts run in your browser when you visit our site.

Two things do involve other parties, and we describe them here so you can make your own decisions:

Web fonts. Our site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests those font files from Google’s servers, and your IP address and basic request information are visible to Google as part of that request.
Hosting-level logging. Our hosting provider operates system-level components that record website usage and performance information at the server. This may include request information such as IP address, pages requested, and timestamps, and is used to operate, secure, and monitor the hosting service.

Our contact forms store submissions in our website database, and outgoing email is sent through a mail service that retains a log of sent messages for a limited period. Both are covered in Sections 1, 4, and 6.

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential analytics, advertising, or similar technologies, Talinta will provide the required notice and choice before using those technologies. Browser settings may also allow you to block or delete cookies, although doing so can affect website functionality.

11. Children’s Privacy

Talinta’s recruitment and participant services are intended for adult professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly solicit applications from persons under 18 through our teacher-participant forms. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Talinta through the website without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and address the information.

12. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website or communications may link to designated Sponsors, government agencies, host schools, credential evaluators, payment providers, or other third-party websites and services. Those organizations control their own websites and processing activities. Their privacy notices and terms apply to information you provide directly to them. Talinta is not responsible for the privacy practices of an independent third party merely because we link to or coordinate with it.

13. Changes to This Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice when our services, website tools, legal obligations, or data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page shows when the current version was revised. If a change is material, Talinta will provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
